Officers of the Election are Needed!
Chesapeake Republican Party is asking everyone to help with our extremely important and successful Election Day operations. For many, this will include serving as a poll worker, runner or Precinct Captain.
There is another, critical way you can help promote a fair election: Serving as an Officer of the Election.
Officers of the Election are paid officials working inside the polls to insure an orderly, honest and fair voting process. The Electoral Board balances the workers inside each precinct between the two parties. However, if there arent enough Republican-oriented workers in the pool, someone who may not be very friendly toward our principles may be asked to represent our interests. The only way to prevent this is for enough of us to offer to serve as Officers of the Election.
